While my mom was visiting, I pulled the other half of the batch of Peter Reinhart's pizza dough from last month's Daring Baker challenge out of the freezer. The resulting dinner caused her to declare that it was the best pizza she'd had in her life, and mom doesn't tend toward hyperbole.
The very few leftovers landed in The Kid's lunchbox the next day, along with the last mini banana in the bunch, ("Just because there's a few spots on the outside doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the inside!") a handful of grapes, a couple pretzels to fill a gap, an elephant sticker, and the usual apple juice/water mixture.
