She's Baaaaack......

This is what I get for ignoring my Google alerts over the holidays.
Remember Meredith Broussard, the food allergy denier, who managed to grind her axe in Harper's Magazine and on NPR? The Huffington Post needs to improve its vetting process, because she made it onto their virtual pages with the same flawed arguments in yet another article, "Food Allergy Deaths: Less Common Than You Think."
Sloane Miller's interview with Dr. Michael Pistiner, a fellow in Allergy and Immunology at Children's Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School, is still has the best response I've seen to Ms. Broussard's flood of flawed logic and dangerous misinformation.
So take a few deep breaths and get ready for another round of public reeducation. If you're up to it, head on over to the Huffpost to register and leave a comment. Even better, I would suggest responding to Ms. Broussard's unaccountable grudge against the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, one of my favorite organizations, by visiting their website and making a donation in her honor.

I can not bother to read more of her rants. Why do our allergy situations concern her so much? Is it effecting her life so horribly? I know some people like to talk just to hear their own voice. If it is not productive or helpful, please keep it to yourself!
