Halloween Round Up

Here's a quick round up of some Halloween treats!

From the archives we have Spider Cupcakes,

Gingerbread Skeletons

and Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie.

I also have a couple Halloween themed lunches that I packed in years past.

Here's some simple cookie cutter sandwiches with a pumpkin cupcake.

My favorite was the year I made a turkey dog mummy with edible googly eyes!

You'll see this year's Halloween lunchbox tomorrow, but here's a glimpse of the basket I've put together for the annual post Trick or Treating candy exchange. It has safe candy plus an assortment of non-food treats, such as Lego minifigs, Halloween pencils, eyeball erasors and stickers. Having the non-food items helps cut down on the sugar overload, too.

Don't forget to enter a photo of your child in costume safely celebrating to Kids with Food Allergies Halloween Costume Parade for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card and to Enjoy Life's facebook costume contest, which has several delicious gift baskets as prizes.

Finally here are additional tips for trick or treating safely on the FARE website plus a handy guide from Mylan. (Click to embiggen.)

Have a safe and wonderful Halloween!
